The CalAmp K-12 App, formerly Synovia, is a school-bus telematics and fleet-visibility system used for GPS tracking, route progress, vehicle information, driver and fleet operations, and family-facing bus information through connected services such as Here Comes the Bus. It helps districts compare actual vehicle activity with planned transportation service.
The system is principally a live operations and telematics layer, not necessarily the authoritative routing platform. Districts should verify current CalAmp product names and contracts, how route and student data arrive from other systems, which onboard devices remain supported, and what replacement or migration path applies to legacy Synovia installations.
