Tyler Absence & Substitute, formerly ReadySub, is a cloud-based K–12 system for employee leave requests, absence tracking, and substitute placement. Staff submit time-off requests, administrators apply approval and assignment rules, and qualified substitutes can review openings, manage availability, and accept work from web or mobile devices.
The platform reduces manual calls and spreadsheets by combining absence records, substitute pools, job notifications, schedules, approvals, and payroll-preparation data. ReadySub joined Tyler Technologies in 2021 and the product was renamed Absence & Substitute, so the catalog should retain the former name only as a search and migration reference.
