Overview

PROMIS is the Pupil Records Online Management Information System managed by CEDR Systems, a department of the San Joaquin County Office of Education. It provides student information and reporting services for participating education agencies rather than operating as a conventional commercial vendor product.

The system supports core pupil records and local or state-oriented operational needs for its users. Because public information is limited, the review should preserve the member-reported relationship while documenting the agencies served, current modules, California reporting scope, integration methods, and long-term support model.

Features
Pupil information management
  • Maintains student and school information needed by participating agencies.
  • Current feature scope should be confirmed directly with CEDR Systems.
California agency support
  • Is managed by a county-office department with experience supporting California education data and reporting.
  • The service model differs from a national commercial SIS.
Catalog distinction
  • Represents a public-sector shared system or service as well as software.
  • Future taxonomy should distinguish government-operated systems from market products.
