Capti ReadBasix is a digital diagnostic reading assessment developed from ETS research and designed especially to identify foundational-skill needs among older students. It assesses areas including decoding, vocabulary, morphology, sentence processing, reading efficiency, and comprehension.
Schools use flexible subtests, skill profiles, reports, intervention recommendations, and progress information to understand why a student is struggling and target secondary literacy support. Districts should align administration, accommodations, score interpretation, data access, and retention with the intended use of the assessment.
