Bilingual Literacy Family Engagement Grades PreK–5
Read Conmigo is The Kemper Foundation’s free bilingual literacy initiative. It is intended primarily for Spanish-speaking families and young bilingual learners developing English and home-language literacy, with children, families, elementary teachers, and community partners using it to support bilingual reading, family literacy, book access, and language development.
Families and educators use bilingual books and activities to read together, build vocabulary, and support literacy across English and Spanish. Districts should evaluate how the product fits adopted curriculum, student needs, instructional time, and the work educators must do around it.
