Simulations Math & Science Grades 3–12
ExploreLearning Gizmos is an interactive library of mathematics and science simulations. It is intended primarily for upper-elementary through high-school math and science learners, with students, math and science teachers, interventionists, and curriculum leaders using it to support conceptual modeling, inquiry, experimentation, data analysis, and visualization.
Students manipulate variables, observe models, collect data, test ideas, and answer investigation questions while teachers facilitate discussion and connect simulations to phenomena. Districts should evaluate how the product fits adopted curriculum, student needs, instructional time, and the work educators must do around it.

Audience and instructional role
- Grades / learners: upper-elementary through high-school math and science learners
- Primary users: students, math and science teachers, interventionists, and curriculum leaders
- Learning focus: conceptual modeling, inquiry, experimentation, data analysis, and visualization — an interactive library of mathematics and science simulations
How it supports learning- Students manipulate variables, observe models, collect data, test ideas, and answer investigation questions while teachers facilitate discussion and connect simulations to phenomena.
- Teachers should connect use to explicit learning goals and inspect student work rather than rely on completion or engagement alone.
Implementation and instructional decisions- Simulations supplement—not replace—hands-on investigation, explicit instruction, or careful attention to model limitations.
- Districts should confirm accessibility, language support, student-data practices, assignment workflow, reporting, and the continuing role of teacher judgment.
