OpenText AppEnhancer, formerly ApplicationXtender, is a document-management product for capturing, indexing, securing, retrieving, and retaining content associated with departmental and line-of-business processes. It provides a lighter-weight content repository for organizations that need application-connected document access without implementing a larger enterprise content-management suite.
AppEnhancer supports browser-based access, scanning and import, metadata and full-text retrieval, workflow-related integrations, records controls, and APIs. The legacy ApplicationXtender desktop client has reached end of service life, but the current AppEnhancer product continues through newer web-centered releases.
