Overview

Level Data Directory Integration Services automate the movement of student and staff identity information from K–12 SIS and HR systems into Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Google Workspace. The service creates and updates accounts, groups, email addresses, organizational placement, and other attributes according to district-defined business rules.

Level Data is designed to connect systems that do not otherwise remain synchronized. Supported configurations can use PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, Skyward, Infinite Visions, or Smart Fusion as sources; maintain AD, Entra, or Google accounts; write selected usernames or email data back to the SIS; and provision Google Classroom. Monitoring and support are part of the service, reducing district dependence on local scripts.

SIS and HR source connections
  • Reads student and staff data from supported PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, Skyward, Infinite Visions, and Smart Fusion environments.
  • Applies district business rules for names, usernames, roles, locations, grades, groups, and account status.
Directory provisioning
  • Creates and maintains accounts in Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Google Workspace for Education.
  • Updates accounts when students or employees change names, schools, grades, departments, positions, or active status.
Two-way data exchange
  • Supports one-way and selected two-way integrations depending on the source and target products.
  • Can write usernames, passwords, email addresses, or other approved values back to the SIS in supported configurations.
Connected district applications
  • Provides integration services for food service, library, transportation, SIS-to-SIS, and other operational platforms in addition to directory services.
  • Can provision Google Classroom when Google account management and the required source data are included.
Managed integration service
  • Runs synchronization on a recurring schedule and monitors connector operation after implementation.
  • Includes support for business-rule adjustments, troubleshooting, and district-specific changes rather than leaving districts to maintain custom scripts alone.
