MagicSchoolAI

Product Details

Overview

MagicSchool is a K–12 generative AI platform for educators, students, and district administrators. It combines a large set of structured teacher tools for planning, differentiation, assessment, feedback, and communication with MagicStudent, a supervised environment where teachers can assign AI-supported activities to learners.

The platform addresses two related district needs: giving staff practical AI tools that reduce routine workload and offering students a school-managed alternative to general public chatbots. Enterprise offerings add centralized controls, usage visibility, professional learning, privacy safeguards, and connections to common LMS and identity systems.

Features
Educator planning and production
  • Provides more than 80 teacher tools for lesson plans, presentations, quizzes, rubrics, worksheets, feedback, report-card comments, communications, and idea development.
  • Uses structured inputs and tool-specific prompts so educators can generate a targeted first draft without designing a complex prompt from scratch.
  • Includes exemplars, an instructional coach, and professional-learning resources to support staff adoption.
Differentiation and feedback
  • Adjusts passages, assignments, explanations, and activities for reading level, language needs, accommodations, and instructional goals.
  • Generates writing feedback, assessment items, and other supports from educator-selected criteria and source material.
MagicStudent
  • Offers more than 50 student-facing tools and teacher-led activities within a school-oriented AI environment.
  • Lets teachers create and share Rooms that define the activity, instructions, and AI behavior for participating students.
  • Provides settings and safeguards intended to develop AI literacy and keep student use within educator-established boundaries.
Administration, privacy, and oversight
  • Enterprise plans provide centralized access management, district configuration, usage information, and organization-wide sharing.
  • MagicSchool states that teacher and student data are not used to train its AI models and identifies FERPA, COPPA, and SOC 2 safeguards for district review.
  • Administrators can support a common implementation instead of leaving individual staff members to select and configure unrelated AI tools independently.
LMS and identity connections
  • Integrates with Canvas and Schoology for student access to MagicStudent activities and with Google Classroom for access and class management.
  • Supports Google and Microsoft sign-in, Clever roster-enabled SSO, and ClassLink LaunchPad access.
  • Integration availability varies by plan, so districts should confirm which connections and administrative functions are included in the proposed license.
