My Integrated Student Information System, or MiSiS, is Los Angeles Unified School District’s districtwide environment for student enrollment, demographics, attendance, scheduling, grades, transcripts, discipline, programs, health, and operational reporting. It consolidates student information used by LAUSD schools and central offices.
MiSiS clearly performs the role of an SIS, but it is a locally developed and operated LAUSD system rather than a generally purchasable commercial product. The catalog should retain the historical district relationship while later deciding whether district-built systems belong beside market products or in a separate locally developed systems section.
